The Colorado Bluesky Enterprises Infant/Toddler and Family Support Programs have experienced cuts in funding over the last few years, and your generosity is more important than ever. The needs of children with disabilities and their families continue to be critical.
There are approximately 160 children from birth to 3 years old who are in the Infant/Toddler Program. Additionally, families with children from three to 21 years of age are provided in-home support through the Family Support Program.
Colorado Bluesky Enterprises continues to work hard to serve all children in a timely manner in the Infant/Toddler Program because young children, birth to 3 years, with disabilities cannot wait for services. Research over the years has proven that early intervention is extremely important to the infant with developmental disabilities, to the parents, and to other family members. Families who have children with special needs must have a support system that helps everyone in a family understand the infant’s abilities so the child can achieve developmental milestones. Many parents praise the Infant/Toddler Program for its ability to help them become their child’s best teacher and advocate.
The Family Support Program is essential to help families with the extraordinary costs of raising a child with developmental disabilities from birth to age 21. Families in the program prioritize their needs, but funding has been drastically reduced by the state for these services thus creating an ever larger waiting list for assistance.
Your contribution may be used to provide respite care, therapeutic intervention, and adaptive equipment, travel expenses related to out of town medical appointments as well as other needs related to having a child with a disability.
Through the support of people like you, we will continue helping the children and adults in Pueblo County who have developmental disabilities to achieve their full potential. It is joyful work because every day we witness success to some degree, small or large, but progress nonetheless. Your support shows your belief that a brighter future is possible for those with developmental disabilities.

The promise to never give up on persons with developmental disabilites is a promise that keeps familes together. Since 1964, thousands of Pueblo people have been helped through the efforts of therapists, vocational trainers and the loving hearts of home care providers. Donations to Colorado Bluesky Foundation pay for simple items. The needs are diverse. Many families helped are low income. It's hard enough to care for a child with special needs.
